Privacy policy

This policy explains what Indeed US (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this site, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not ask you to create an account.

What we collect

• Basic request data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data for each request — your approximate country (derived from your IP address), browser and device type (user agent), the page you requested, and the site you came from (referrer). We use a country signal to decide whether the listings we link to are available in your region.
• Outbound click data. When you click a “See job listings” link, we generate a random click identifier and store it in a first-party cookie (named clickId) for up to 30 days. We record that a click happened, which guide it came from, and any campaign parameters in the link (for example a marketing source or campaign name). This lets us confirm that a partner should pay us for a referral. The click identifier is random and is not, by itself, your name or email.
• Analytics. If enabled, we use privacy-standard web analytics to understand which guides are useful. This may set cookies and collect usage events (pages viewed, a click-out event with the guide slug). We do not use analytics to identify you personally.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or any application details on this site. If you submit those to a partner after leaving us, that is handled under the partner’s own privacy policy — please read it.

Why we collect it

• To show you region-appropriate information and avoid dead links.
• To measure which guides are helpful and improve them.
• To attribute referrals so our partners can compensate us correctly (our legitimate business interest).
• To keep the site secure and detect abuse or automated traffic.

How long we keep it

The clickId cookie expires after 30 days. Server request logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period and then rotated out. Aggregate analytics are retained according to the analytics provider’s settings (typically no more than 14 months).

Third parties we share data with

We use a small number of service providers. Each processes data only to provide its service:

• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery (processes request data such as IP-derived location and user agent).
• Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — website analytics, only if analytics is enabled.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel) — advertising measurement, only if we are running ads on Meta and the pixel is enabled.
• Our affiliate network / listings partner — receives the click identifier and campaign parameters when you follow an outbound listings link, so referrals can be attributed.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising measurement described above.

Cookies

We use a first-party clickId cookie for referral attribution, and, if analytics is enabled, analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though our ability to attribute a referral may be affected.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of it, to correct it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it. We do not sell personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us at the address below; we may need to verify your request. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf.

Children

This site is intended for adults seeking work and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
